HEALTH a Gift of God
It is God’s Will to Heal Us
Many years ago I attended some meetings on healing by Rev Billy B. Smith. The miraculous healing episodes and the words of reminder of the healing power of Yahooah-Rophe our Healer were significantly marked in my mind.
Pastors Billy and Mary Smith are anointed of God and demonstrate power and the Gospel of Salvation to thousands of people in their meetings each year. Salvation means to be made whole spiritually, mentally, physically and financially. You may learn more about Pastor Billy smith at his website http://www.billysmithministries.com.
At the meeting I attended many years ago I bought s number of books. One small book that stood out for me was “Health s Gift of God” by Billy B. Smith, 1991, Billy B. Smith Ministries Publications, ISBN1-879612-02-X. This book may be purchased at his website. The book is also read on CD in several languages. I will present some highlights that stand out for me.
Lack of Knowledge
One of the often quoted passages in the book Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Billy Smith was an example of this lack of knowledge in his own situation. He explained in the back cover note that in his early twenties he had surgeries on both feet and both knees, two back surgeries and two hernia surgeries. He explained that he was also afflicted with epilepsy, sugar diabetes, and had suffered three heart attacks by the time he was twenty-one years old.
Billy said that he was not a Christian then and knew nothing about Jesus as his Saviour or as his Healer until friends began to tell him about the Lord. After being born again, he began an intense study of (God’s) Yahooah’s Word to find out the truth of what He said about healing.
Discovery of what the Word said
He learned the following (I reproduce them from the New International Version of the Holy Bible):
Psalm 107:20, “He sent forth his word and healed them: He rescued them from the grave.”
Proverbs 4:20-22, “My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man’s whole body.”
Acts 10:34-35, “Then Peter began to speak: ‘I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right.’”
Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Pastor Billy Smith’s book is filled with many pages of what God (Yahooah) says about healing. I will in future blog posts pass on some of what I learned from his book but I would encourage you to get hold of a copy and read for yourself.
